Dehradun, 7 Apr: Doon Library and Research Centre organised an illustrated lecture on 20 years of Indian Cinema, here, today. Film expert Parth Chatterjee presented a detailed account of Hindi cinema from the 1950s to the early 1970s.
Chatterjee analysed the emotional and sociological evolution of Hindi cinema during this period, highlighting the concerns of the time through the perspectives of directors like Bimal Roy, Guru Dutt, Kamal Amrohi, Kidar Sharma, and Raj Kapoor. He also shed light on the role of women in these works.
