Dehradun, 13 Aug: Uttarakhand Government has claimed that under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Uttarakhand has scripted a new chapter in women's empowerment with the number of 'Lakhpati Didis' surpassing three lakh. The officials stated that the government's determined efforts have ensured that 3,03,696 women in the state have achieved an annual income of more than Rs 1 lakh, setting a remarkable example of self-reliance. For the financial year 2026-27, the target of making 1.12 lakh women 'Lakhpati Didis' has already been set, and departments concerned are working to achieve it ahead of schedule.
