Dehradun, 15 Apr: BJP leader Ravindra Jugran, today, met Additional Secretary (Home) Apoorva Pandey and apprised the government, through her, of the public anger in Mussoorie, Dehradun, and across Uttarakhand regarding the case of martyr Umakant Tripathi.

Ravindra Jugran stated that Umakant Tripathi had already been declared a martyr by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs in 1995. However, this information came to light among the people of Uttarakhand only about a week ago-nearly 31 years later. He added that even the Uttarakhand government became aware of this only recently.
