Dehradun, 25 Jun: The Indian High Commission in London is stated to be closely monitoring the case of Uttarakhand resident Captain Ajay Pant, who is currently in judicial custody in the United Kingdom. This follows the intervention by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.

The High Commission has provided detailed information to the Chief Minister, confirming that Pant is lodged at HMP Winchester. On 19 June 2026, the High Commission's officials established contact with Captain Pant through the prison's telephone facility, during which Pant stated that he was in good health and receiving medical care within the prison. He also confirmed that he remains in regular touch with his wife.
