Haridwar, 8 Jan: Governor Lt General Gurmit Singh (Retd) participated in the 26th Lohri Festival organised by the Punjabi community in Haridwar. On this occasion, extending his greetings on Lohri, he said that the festival is associated with cultural consciousness, auspicious blessings, and people-centric values. Lohri is a celebration linked to agricultural production and symbolises the arrival of the New Year, prosperity, and the infusion of positive energy into humanity.
