Dehradun, 5 Aug: Dr Pankaj Garg, Professor and Head of the Department of Surgical Oncology at Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital and SGRR Institute of Medical & Health Sciences, has been elected as the Director (Education), North Zone of the Association of Breast Surgeons of India (ABSI) for the 2026-2028 term.

This prestigious national appointment reflects Dr Garg's outstanding contributions to the fields of breast cancer surgery, medical education, training, and research. In his new role, he will contribute to strengthening academic programmes, training initiatives, academic collaborations, and evidence-based breast cancer care across North India.
