Dehradun/New Delhi, Oct. 28 -- Prominent Dehradun-based builder and industrialist Sudhir Windlass, who was lodged in jail for nearly twenty-two months, has finally been granted bail by the Supreme Court. Windlass, who was arrested on 21 December 2023 by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in connection with high-profile alleged land fraud cases, had finally approached the Supreme Court after his three bail pleas were continuously rejected by the Uttarakhand High Court in July 2025. The High Court, however, had granted bail to the co-accused in the case, Ravi Dayal, Mahavir Singh, and Yogesh Tyagi on 6 October 2025, which had raised hopes for Windlass's release too.
