Dehradun, 23 Sep: Congress has launched a sharp attack on the state government after the Congress MLA Kichha in Udham Singh Nagar was allegedly assaulted by a former BJP lMLA and his associates. Party spokesperson Dr Pratima Singh described the incident as a cowardly and murderous assault, calling it the darkest chapter in Uttarakhand's political history and a brazen killing of democracy. She accused the BJP of being intoxicated with power and said its leaders had resorted to open hooliganism to silence the opposition.
