Dehradun, 31 Oct: Yesterday's helicopter crash near Jyotirmath in Chamoli district, which claimed six lives, including that of the pilot, has once again exposed the vulnerabilities in helicopter operations during the Char Dham Yatra in Uttarakhand. Coming towards the end of this year's pilgrimage season, the tragedy involving a Trans Bharat Aviation helicopter travelling from Badrinath to Dehradun has raised uncomfortable questions about the effectiveness of the safety measures introduced after a series of fatal accidents in 2025.
