Dehradun, 10 Jun: In a move to further strengthen the effective and smooth functioning of District Cooperative Banks, the Uttarakhand Government has withdrawn the responsibility of bank administration from Chief Development Officers in 10 districts and assigned it to senior officers of the Cooperation Department. Orders in this regard were issued by the government late Tuesday night.
According to the government, Chief Development Officers are entrusted with extensive responsibilities related to various development schemes and administrative functions.
