Dehradun, 21 Apr: Specialists at Graphic Era Hospital have achieved a significant milestone by successfully treating a 5 year old child using the advanced POEM (Peroral Endoscopic Myotomy) technique, giving him a new lease of life. This advanced procedure has been performed successfully for the first time on such a young patient in Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh.

The child had been suffering from severe difficulty in swallowing and frequent vomiting for the past three years. This condition had severely affected his nutrition and made normal life extremely challenging. Despite treatment at several hospitals, there was no significant improvement in his condition.
