Monrovia, Oct. 16 -- The Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) Commission, in collaboration with partners, on Wednesday joined the rest of the world to celebrate Global Handwashing Day 2025, with a strong call for young people across Liberia to become "handwashing heroes."

Global Handwashing Day is an international advocacy day dedicated to increasing awareness and understanding of the importance of handwashing with soap as an effective and affordable way to prevent diseases and save lives.
