Monrovia, March 23 -- Gaspard K. Karnga, spokesperson for the Togolese Community in Liberia, has called on the government of Togo to open an embassy in Liberia, emphasizing the need for stronger diplomatic presence and improved services for more than 5,000 Togolese nationals currently living in the country.

Mr. Karnga issued the appeal over the weekend during the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the ECOWAS Commission in Liberia an event that brought together representatives and community members from the 12 ECOWAS states to showcase their cultures, cuisines, and traditional heritage.
