Liberia, July 13 -- Vice President Jeremiah Kpan Koung Sr. has taken a step toward easing political tensions in Nimba County by paying a personal visit to the residence of former Minister of Mines and Energy Wilmot Paye, in what many Liberians are describing as a powerful demonstration of reconciliation and political maturity.

The meeting, held Sunday at Paye's Thinkers Village home, comes after months of strained relations between the two prominent Nimba politicians.
