Liberia, July 30 -- Former Monrovia City Mayor Jefferson Tamba Koijee has publicly celebrated his reconciliation with one of his former political critics, Matina Konateh, popularly known as Costa Princess, using her birthday to commend what he described as her courage to seek forgiveness and embrace genuine reconciliation.

Konateh was once among Koijee's most outspoken political adversaries during the height of Liberia's political rivalry between the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) and the now-ruling Unity Party. Their exchanges reflected the bitter partisan atmosphere that characterized the country's political discourse in recent years.
