Liberia, June 9 -- The House of Representatives has summoned senior executives of Golden Veroleum Liberia (GVL) to appear before its plenary this Thursday, June 11, 2026, over alleged failure to fulfill obligations contained in a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed with affected communities in Sinoe County. Invitation for the appearance of the GVL Executives was triggered a communication from Sinoe County District #1 Representative Thomas Romeo Quioh, who reported that GVL has persistently failed to comply with several of commitments outlined in the MoU between the company and affected communities.
