Douera, Sept. 29 -- FC Fassell's debut campaign in the CAF Champions League ended on Saturday with a 3-0 defeat to MC Alger at the Ali Ammar Stadium.

The result sees the Liberian club eliminated at the preliminary stage following a 0-0 draw in the first leg in Monrovia.

Fassell head coach Amir Alagic made changes to his starting lineup in an effort to improve attacking efficiency, bringing in forward Victor Mansaray and veteran midfielder Zah Krangar. The team had registered only one shot on target in the first leg.

However, MC Alger took control early in the match. In the 19th minute, defender Titus Yeah failed to clear a header inside the box, allowing Ayoub Abdellaoui to score the opening goal past goalkeeper Ahmad Savage.
