MONROVIA, Liberia, Sept. 23 -- President Joseph Nyuma Boakai has proclaimed October 2026 as "Month of Good Governance," placing transparency, accountability, institutional performance and citizen participation at the center of a month-long national governance campaign.

The proclamation, dated September 16, 2026, was formally presented during a press conference at the Governance Commission in Monrovia, where Acting Chairperson Prof. Alaric K. Tokpa described the initiative as one of the most significant moments in the Commission's current work.
