NEW YORK, Sept. 24 -- The Republic of Liberia and the United States of America on Sunday, held a high-level closed-door maritime roundtable in New York, convening senior foreign policy, national security, and maritime officials from both governments for strategic discussions on maritime security, economic cooperation, and the growing importance of secure sea lanes to global trade and supply chains.

According to a release, the roundtable was co-chaired by Madam Sara Beysolow Nyanti, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Liberia, and Ambassador Michael G. Waltz, Permanent Representative of the United States to the United Nations and former National Security Advisor to President Donald J. Trump.
