COLOMBO, Dec. 12 -- The United States has expressed firm confidence in President Anura Kumara Dissanayake's leadership in guiding Sri Lanka through its post-disaster recovery, pledging comprehensive support across economic, humanitarian, and strategic areas.

During a meeting at the Presidential Secretariat on Thursday (11), Allison Hooker, US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs, commended President Dissanayake's efforts to steer the country through an "exceptionally challenging period" following the devastation caused by Cyclone Ditwah.
