Suresh Sallay hospitalized amid allegations of inhumane treatment in CID custody
COLOMBO, June 7 -- Former Director of the State Intelligence Service (SIS), retired Major General Suresh Sallay, was admitted to the Emergency Treatment Unit (ETU) of the Colombo National Hospital on Sunday (7), hospital sources said.
Sallay, who is currently being detained under the Prevention of Terrorism Act (PTA) in connection with investigations into the 2019 Easter Sunday attacks, was transferred to the hospital for medical treatment. Authorities have not yet released details regarding his condition.
