COLOMBO, May 25 -- Pakistan Army Chief, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, has concluded a brief but "highly productive" official visit to Iran, during which he held talks with senior Iranian leaders as part of ongoing mediation efforts aimed at easing regional tensions following the April 8 ceasefire.

According to a statement issued by the Pakistani High Commission in Colombo on Monday (25), the Field Marshal met with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni.

The discussions focused on accelerating consultations aimed at supporting regional peace and stability and reaching what the statement described as a "conclusive agreement."...
