India, Aug. 21 -- Yash-starrer Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups has received an adults-only A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), with no scenes reportedly removed, prompting amused reactions online ahead of its August 26 theatrical release.

Toxic cleared with minimal changes

The certification has attracted attention because the Geetu Mohandas directorial contains graphic violence, sexual content and mature themes. According to reports, the CBFC sought only limited modifications, including muting or replacing two words or phrases in the Kannada version and making corresponding changes in the English subtitles. A statutory warning concerning smoking and drinking will also be added.
