Ferrell portrays Lonnie Hawkins, an unhinged and selfish former golf legend whose charisma drives a story that culminates in a rule breaking tournament finale.
California Roots and Financial Backing
Los Angeles acted as the central headquarters for the production of the series. To keep the project within the state, California provided a $17.1 million tax credit. Filming officially began on September 8, 2025, ensuring the heart of the project remained in Southern California.
