India, Aug. 8 -- Udaipur Files, which was originally scheduled for a July 11 release, has faced a stay on release. Vijay Raaz's film is based on the 2022 murder of Udaipur-based tailor Kanhaiya Lal. After a long legal battle, the Delhi High Court on Thursday (August 7, 2025) refused to stay the release of Udaipur Files. The court has dismissed the appeal filed by Mohammad Javed, one of the accused in the murder case, against the order approving the certification of the film.
