India, Aug. 18 -- Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Commissioner Tukaram Mundhe has defended show-cause notices issued to Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn and Tiger Shroff over their appearance in a Vimal Elaichi advertisement, saying advertising regulations apply to everyone involved in promoting a product.
FDA Flags Surrogate Advertising
The Maharashtra FDA issued the notices after examining the Vimal Elaichi campaign for allegedly functioning as surrogate or indirect promotion of pan masala and tobacco-related products.
