"Babylon" follows a character who leaves a small-town life behind while chasing freedom, success and excitement. The lyrics then shift toward regret, relationships and the consequences of choices made along the way. The recurring Babylon metaphor suggests a glamorous life that ultimately becomes restrictive and is only fully understood after it is lost.
