India, Aug. 25 -- Taapsee Pannu's upcoming Netflix film Gandhari has been drawn into a copyright controversy after writer Kalyan Bandi alleged that its story resembles a concept he wrote and registered in 2019. Kanika Dhillon's production house, Kathha Pictures, has rejected the allegations, calling them false and baseless.

Bandi has claimed that the central idea of Gandhari bears similarities to his earlier work. According to reports, he had registered the concept and later continued developing it before pitching it to production companies. He also reportedly sent a legal notice to the makers after seeing the announcement of the Netflix film.
