India, Aug. 3 -- Spider-Man: Brand New Day has delivered one of the biggest box office debuts in cinema history, collecting an estimated $927 million worldwide during its opening weekend and giving the superhero genre a powerful commercial boost.

Record Breaking Weekend

The Tom Holland starrer earned an estimated $355 million across the United States and Canada, while international markets contributed another $572 million. The film's global debut ranks as the second biggest opening weekend ever, trailing only Avengers: Endgame. China emerged as a major overseas market, adding around $121 million to the worldwide total.
