India, July 16 -- A two part A&E documentary titled "Scott Peterson: The New Evidence" presents previously unseen footage and expert analysis that supporters believe could exonerate the convicted killer two decades after his trial.

Mark Geragos, Peterson's former lawyer, identifies a torched vehicle discovered in Modesto's Airport District as the most persuasive new evidence. Seven witnesses reported a suspicious van in the neighborhood on the day Laci disappeared, including a reserve police officer who allegedly saw a pregnant woman being forced inside.
