India, June 23 -- Pop icon 'Madonna has confirmed that her highly anticipated movie biopic was officially scrapped' following a major falling out with Universal Pictures regarding its massive production budget.
The Cost of an Extraordinary Life
Madonna spent two years drafting the script and another two years at Universal Studios working on budgeting and casting for the film. She explained that because her life has been "extraordinary" and "huge," she required a 'significant budget that the studio simply could not justify'. According to the singer, Universal executives could not wrap their heads around the hefty financial backing needed to accurately portray her life story.
