India, Oct. 22 -- JioHotstar and Prime Focus Studios have announced a partnership to bring Namit Malhotra’s film Ramayana: Rise of the Legend to Indian homes after its theatrical run, with the title set to stream via a pay-per-view option rather than as part of a regular subscription, according to a Hindustan Times report updated on Oct. 21, 2026.
The report said the film is scheduled to release worldwide in theatres on Nov. 5, 2026, coinciding with Diwali, and will also be screened in IMAX 3D.
Theatrical and digital release plan
Hindustan Times reported that once the film’s theatrical window ends, viewers in India will be able to watch it on JioHotstar through a dedicated on-demand purchase option.
