India, Aug. 18 -- Hayden Panettiere, the Heroes and Nashville star, died at 36 in Greenville, South Carolina, with authorities saying their preliminary investigation has found no evidence of foul play or suspicious circumstances. The actress was found unresponsive on August 16, and the circumstances surrounding her death remain under investigation.
Police Responded After 911 Call
Greenville police and emergency medical personnel were dispatched at about 1:51 p.m. local time following a report of an unresponsive woman. Panettiere was later identified at the scene. Medical assistance was administered, but she was pronounced dead despite efforts to revive her. An acquaintance of the actress placed the 911 call, according to police.
