India, July 28 -- A Los Angeles judge has ruled that there is enough evidence for indie pop singer D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, to stand trial on charges including first-degree murder, mutilation of human remains and child sexual abuse linked to the death of a 14-year-old girl.
Court finds sufficient evidence
Judge Charlaine Olmedo delivered the ruling after a five-day preliminary hearing during which prosecutors presented witness testimony, forensic findings and crime scene evidence. The court determined there was probable cause for a jury to hear the case, while Burke continues to maintain his innocence after pleading not guilty to all charges.
