India, Sept. 24 -- Brad Pitt has described working alongside Uber, the German Shepherd playing his canine companion Odin in Heart of the Beast, as a deeply moving experience, saying the dog often delivered unexpected moments that were not part of the script.
Pitt bonds with Uber
Speaking at a press conference ahead of the film's screening at the San Sebastian Film Festival, Pitt said he quickly bonded with Uber, who was discovered in New Zealand by the film's dog trainer.
The 62-year-old actor recalled that Uber would sometimes behave in ways that surprised the cast and crew. Pitt said some of those unscripted actions ultimately remained in the finished film, particularly moments captured during close-ups of the dog.
