India, Aug. 26 -- A few years ago, Vinay Rajkumar had said that the pursuit of stardom was never on his radar; he'd rather want audiences to see him as an artiste. Cut to now, and one part of that statement remains - he's still not fascinated by the idea of being a star, but what has changed is that he now says that his choice of films is not tailored towards any goal, not stardom or being known as a versatile actor. Although Vinay is only 6 films old as a leading man, the general perception is that he will be seen films that prioritise content over style.
