Summit LNG Terminal Resumes Operations: Gas Supply Begins
Dhaka, Aug. 14 -- The Summit LNG Terminal in Maheshkhali has resumed operations.
Gas could not be unloaded from the vessel due to adverse weather conditions. At 6:10 p.m. on Friday, the terminal began supplying approximately 110 million cubic feet of gas.
Summit LNG confirmed the development in a press release issued Friday evening.
The company expects to gradually increase the supply and reach near-full capacity of approximately 550 million cubic feet per day by around 2:00 a.m. on August 15.
Summit LNG said it remains committed to supplying the maximum possible volume of gas while maintaining safe and reliable operations within the technical capabilities of the terminal and the national gas transmission system.
