Bangladesh, April 2 -- The price of LPG has been increased by Tk 387 for a 12 kg cylinder in a single hike. This is the first time that fuel prices have been raised in Bangladesh since the outbreak of war in the Middle East.
The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) announced the new prices for April on Thursday.
The price of privately imported LPG has been raised by Tk 387 per 12 kg cylinder, bringing the new price to Tk 1,728. The per kilogram price has increased by Tk 32.30 to Tk 144.40. As a result, consumers will face a 29 percent increase in cooking gas expenses.
