Dhaka, July 30 -- The government has kept the retail prices of diesel, petrol, octane and kerosene unchanged for the month of August.

Effective from August 1, diesel will continue to be sold at Tk 115 per litre, kerosene at Tk 135 per litre, petrol at Tk 140 per litre, and octane at Tk 145 per litre.

A gazette notification to this effect was issued on Thursday by the Operation-1 Branch of the Energy and Mineral Resources Division.

According to the notification, the revised price schedule will take effect from August 1.

The prices of these petroleum products also remained unchanged in June and July. As a result, the retail prices of diesel, kerosene, petrol and octane have now remained unchanged for the third consecutive month.
