Adani Commissions World's Second-Largest Battery Energy Storage System
Dhaka, June 10 -- Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL), India's leading renewable energy company, has commissioned a 3,370 Megawatt-hour (MWh) Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), making it the world's second-largest battery storage network. These battery bank will be charged using eco-friendly solar power, allowing them to deliver a continuous supply of 3,370 MW of electricity for a full hour even in the absence of sunlight.
To put it simply, this cutting-edge system can store enough clean energy to power nearly one million homes for an entire day. Alternatively, the stored electricity has the capacity to illuminate more than 12 million LED bulbs continuously for ten hours.
