Kathmandu, Sept. 9 -- Youths continued to protest in New Baneshwar and other parts of the Kathmandu Valley on Tuesday, defying curfew orders imposed after Monday's protests and government suppression.
At least 17 protesters were killed in Kathmandu and two in Itahari, while over 400 protesters sustained serious injuries after the police used excessive force during the Gen Z protest on Monday.
To protest against the government suppression, demonstrations have been staged in Kalanki, Chapagaun and other places of the Valley from early morning on Tuesday.
Police arrested a few protesters in front of the Federal Parliament building.
