Kathmandu, March 5 -- Nepal Police stated that voting is continuing smoothly across the country. Police spokesperson Abi Narayan Kafle said that apart from minor disagreements at some locations, no serious problems have been reported.

"Some jostling is expected during elections, but no major issues have arisen," he told the Post. "We are ensuring that the voting process remains peaceful throughout the day."

A brief dispute occurred in Sarlahi-4, but polling resumed quickly. In Udayapur, a police firearm was discharged accidentally at Tavakhola (Kha) polling centre in Katari-3, causing minor damage to a ballot box containing three votes.
