Rolpa, July 25 -- Two women were killed and a man injured after a landslide buried them while they were grazing livestock in Rolpa district on Saturday afternoon.

The incident occurred at Dhawang Lek in Sunchhahari Rural Municipality-1, where a landslide suddenly swept down from a hillside onto a group of herders, according to police.

The deceased have been identified as 51-year-old Asauji Gharti Magar and 36-year-old Amara Gharti Magar, both local residents. They died at the scene.

With the help of local residents, police recovered the bodies from the landslide site later in the evening.
