Kathmandu, March 26 -- Light to moderate rain and snowfall are likely in parts of the hilly and mountainous regions on Thursday, the Meteorological Forecasting Division said.

During the day, the mountainous region is expected to remain generally cloudy, while the hills will see partly cloudy conditions. The Tarai is likely to witness mostly clear weather.

A few places in the mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, and isolated locations in other hilly and mountainous regions, may experience thunderstorms with light to moderate rain or snowfall.

At night, the mountainous region will remain generally cloudy, while the hills and Tarai will see partly cloudy skies.
