Three arrested over alleged Bal Mandir property embezzlement
Kathmandu, July 9 -- Three people have been arrested for investigation over their alleged involvement in the misappropriation of property belonging to Bal Mandir in Naxal, Kathmandu.
A team from the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police arrested them on Wednesday night. Those arrested are 51-year-old Rajendra Kumar Shrestha, 62-year-old Om Krishna Shrestha and 54-year-old Asha Shrestha.
According to the CIB, the three were kept at the Police Circle, Durbarmarg, on Wednesday night following their arrest.
A CIB source said they are scheduled to be produced before the court on Thursday to seek an extension of their detention for further investigation.
