Jumla, March 5 -- Voting at Kalika Primary School in ward 5 of Guthi Chaur Rural Municipality, Jumla, was briefly delayed after a suspicious item was discovered.

Chief District Officer Deepak Paudel said a Nepali Army squad neutralised the item, allowing preparations for voting to continue.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Rabin Babu Regmi of the Jumla District Police Office said the object, found behind a toilet near the polling centre, has been disposed of. Only pieces of paper remained, and the polling centre is now reported to be operating normally.
