Siraha, Feb. 10 -- Protests by inmates at Siraha prison continue despite authorities detaining 13 prisoners, including inmate leader Indrajit Yadav, on Monday.

They were taken into custody after monitoring inside the prison recovered a pistol, two rounds of ammunition, Rs120,000 in cash, and tobacco products. The inmates are currently under investigation at the District Police Office, Siraha.

Following Yadav's detention, fellow inmates set fires inside the prison. Security personnel controlled the flames Monday evening using water jets, but the demonstration continued through the night.
