Kathmandu, Aug. 26 -- Nepal's national cricket team is in Malaysia for the ACC Premier Cup, while the 'A' team competes in Australia's Top End T20 Series. The men's squad for the 20th Asian Games is also set. Yet Sagar Dhakal-a player who has recently featured in all three arenas-is noticeably absent.

Just two years ago, Dhakal orchestrated a remarkable comeback to play in the 2024 T20 World Cup in the United States. Since then, his momentum has stalled. A wrist injury sustained during last year's Nepal Premier League (NPL) derailed his season, keeping him largely out of competitive cricket.
