Kathmandu, March 9 -- The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has maintained a commanding lead in the House of Representatives election, winning 124 seats and leading in one more constituency under the first-past-the-post (FPTP) system.
Of the 161 seats declared so far, the Nepali Congress has won 17 and is leading in one constituency, while the CPN-UML has won 8 and is leading in one constituency. The Nepali Communist Party has secured seven seats under the FPTP category.
Under the proportional representation vote count so far, the RSP has secured 4,283,627 votes.
The Nepali Congress has garnered 1,423,997 votes in the proportional category, while the CPN-UML has secured 1,201,444 votes.
