Kathmandu, March 8 -- Krishna Hari Budhathoki of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has secured victory in the House of Representatives election from Ramechhap-1.
Budhathoki secured 24,808 votes to claim the seat.
His nearest rival, Madhav Prasad Dhungel of the CPN-UML, received 17,609 votes, trailing by a margin of 7,199 votes.
Meanwhile, Ram Chandra Khadka of the Nepali Congress secured 16,307 votes, while Shyam Kumar Shrestha of the Nepali Communist Party finished with 13,354 votes.
In the 2022 election, Purna Bahadur Tamang of the Nepali Congress had won the seat with 47,099 votes.
